  Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque

  Our Muscat City Tour will take you first to the Grand Mosque Photo stop only, one of the largest mosques in the world open Saturday to Thursday from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. On Friday it will be closed. Here you can admire the second-largest handmade carpet in the world and the famous chandelier in the main prayer hall.

  Royal Opera House

  The Royal Opera was formed as the Covent Garden Opera Company in 1946, but behind it lies a tradition of operatic performance that goes back for more than 260 years at its home in Covent Garden.   Al Alam Palace

  Rebuilt in 1972 this colourful palace serves as a residence and guesthouse of the sultan. It is located on a large compound in the old city.

  Al Jalali Fort

  Al Jalali Fort, or Ash Sharqiya Fort, is a fort in the harbor of Old Muscat, Oman. The fort was built by the Portuguese under Philip I of Portugal in the 1580s on an earlier Omani fortress to protect the harbor after Muscat had twice been sacked by Ottoman forces. It fell to Omani forces in 1650.

  Is a promenade stretching for 3 kilometres along the waterfront and is lined with restaurants, cafes, and markets. You can see the views of the Oman Port and harbor on one side and the beautiful rock formations of the Hajar Mountains and the Portuguese watchtowers on the other.
