Important Information – Devil's Throat Viewpoint

• Due to extraordinary weather forecasts associated with the El Niño (ENSO) phenomenon and the anticipated rise in the Iguazú River water levels during the coming months, the Devil's Throat Circuit on Argentinean side (Garganta del Diablo) will be temporarily closed from August 3, 2026, until approximately mid-December 2026 as a preventive safety measure.

The Good News

Although the Devil's Throat Circuit on the Argentine side is temporarily closed for safety and maintenance, visitors will still be able to enjoy magnificent views of the Devil's Throat from other locations within Iguazú National Park.

✔️ From the Lower Circuit (Argentine side): On days with good weather and clear visibility, the Devil's Throat can still be admired from several panoramic viewpoints along the Lower Circuit, offering beautiful distant views of the park's most iconic waterfall.

✔️ From the Brazilian side: The Brazilian side of Iguassu Falls continues to provide one of the best panoramic perspectives of the entire waterfall system, including excellent views of the Devil's Throat from across the canyon. Thanks to its elevated vantage points, visitors can fully appreciate the immense scale and power of the falls, making it an outstanding photographic location.

While access to the boardwalk leading directly above the Devil's Throat is temporarily unavailable, the overall visitor experience remains exceptional. The Upper and Lower Circuits on the Argentine side, together with the breathtaking panoramic viewpoints on the Brazilian side, continue to showcase the grandeur and beauty of one of the world's greatest natural wonders.
