Go on a wildlife safari to meet the humpback whales between Paea and Mataiea, an area still little exploited (we are the only tour operator from Paea!) Our experienced and passionate guides will give you information on their biology and supervise you if launches are possible, in full compliance with the approach rules established by DIREN.

You will board Stenella, a recent boat of 28' comfortable and spacious.

The weather can change quickly. For people prone to seasickness, talk to your pharmacist. We provide snorkeling equipment if you do not have yours.

We also offer boats of up to 12 swimmers for tighter budgets (contact us)

NO PICK-UP sorry. The fishing port is located before pillar 33/27 (27km from PPT/33km from Taravao) in Paea after the ILM research center. You will see our Mobydick Tahiti sign. Warning: The meeting point may change depending on the weather (Punaauia)

What to expect

On this 4-hour excursion in the open ocean, we look for whales in a little-used area between Paea and Mataia, which allows us to make approaches with the greatest respect for animals. If all the conditions are met, our guides will allow you to swim with cetaceans. We have on board a hydrophone to listen to the song of the males.

The boat "6 swimmers max" can also accommodate observers up to a maximum of 12 passengers (total).

Swimming with whales? Yes, it is possible, under certain conditions and at the Guide's discretion (you can also decide to stay on board). Launches are neither mandatory nor systematic. They require an analysis of whale behaviour and good physical condition, as well as favourable sea conditions.

PASSIVE OBSERVATION is privileged: a step by step approach, smooth and discreet to let the animal choose to come to meet us... or not!

For tight budgets, we also offer boats "12 swimmers max" with groups rotations. We also offer private boats (contact us for more info)
