The activity is a unique combination of tradition and modernity. Tradition lies in the dining setup, a sharing table that reminds sundays spent at our Nonna's house as well as traditional recipes. Modernity lies in the culinary style of our Chef Leonardo in re-inventing those recipes, as well as in the tasting of four different fine wines from Mount Etna.

The location is also unique. Lunch will be served in our Sicilian Courtyard (if weather allows), a place from the 18th century full of flowers and succulents

What's Included

4 etna wines (tasting glass size c.a. 90cl) - Available for 18+ customers or under 18+ under supervision, and with the permission of their parents
Sicilian traditional starters, primo (pasta or risotto) and secondo (meat or fish)
Possibility to visit the urban vineyards and the 1790 historical winery

Meeting point

The experience will be hosted at the main winery site in San Gregorio di Catania. Search "Etna Urban Winery" on Google Maps to locate us. Shuttle from/to central Catania available with an extra fee and upon request from April to October

What to expect

A traditional Sicilian lunch with our grandma’s recipes, served in a shared table in the winery’s courtyard (or tasting room in case of adverse weather conditions). The lunch will consist of antipasti (starters) primo (pasta or rice mail course) and secondo (meat or fish based main course) accompanied with the tasting of our red Vigna Grande along with other three Etna wines (sparkling, white and rose). Several of the served meals are suitable for vegetarians guests.

After the tasting, you will have the possibility to visit the urban vineyards and the 1790 historical family winery, or just relax and unwind in our gardens. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time of the experience registration and quick introduction. Lunch will be served at 1pm sharp. In case of visiting with babies, childrens or dogs let us know in advance.
