Leave the crowds behind for a completely private experience at our small family-run kennel in Målselv. Only your group and your guide take part, allowing us to adapt the pace and participation to your family, confidence and physical abilities.
Meet our 35 Alaskan huskies, discover their individual personalities and learn how animal welfare shapes everyday life at the kennel. Choose whether to drive your own dog team, share the driving, or relax as a passenger with your guide.
This personal and unhurried experience welcomes beginners, families with young children, older guests and anyone who prefers a less physically demanding way to enjoy dogsledding. The route, pace and running time are always adapted to the conditions and how the dogs are feeling that day.

What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Travelling from Tromsø by public transport is easy and offers a scenic journey through fjords, mountains and Arctic landscapes. Take bus 100 to Bardufoss sentrum, where your guide will meet you and drive you to our husky farm. We will return you to Bardufoss sentrum after the experience. Public bus tickets are not included. We will help you confirm the best connection before your visit. Guests travelling by car can meet us directly at the farm.
Meet us at OffTrack Experience, Evenmoveien 158, 9334 Øverbygd. From Tromsø, follow the E6 to Moen, then road 854 through Rundhaug. Avoid the winter route through Tamokdalen. Free parking is available.
What to expect
Meet our 35 Alaskan huskies and learn about their personalities, training and kennel life. Your guide will provide winter clothing, explain how the dog team works and give you a safety briefing.
Choose how to participate: drive your own dog team, share the driving, or relax as a passenger with your guide. No experience is needed. As the tour is private, we can adapt it to families with young children, older guests and different fitness levels.
Watch as your guide prepares and harnesses the teams before following quiet trails through boreal forest and Arctic mountain landscapes. The route, pace and running time depend on the weather, trail conditions and how the dogs are feeling. Their welfare always comes first.
Along the trail, we usually stop in the mountains for a warm Norwegian lunch around a wood fire. Back at the farm, enjoy coffee, tea and snacks in our cosy log cabin. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free alternatives are available.
