Designed for travelers who want to discover the authentic Dominican Republic beyond the large all-inclusive resorts. In a small group of up to 18 guests, you'll explore traditional villages, visit Higüey's local market and a traditional cigar factory, learn about Dominican culture, and enjoy a refreshing swim in the beautiful Chavón River. The experience ends with a typical Dominican lunch and a peaceful boat ride, all accompanied by our knowledgeable national guide.

If you stay in Bayahibe, our office is within walking distance (max. 5 minutes). If you have a car, you can come directly to our office. Optional transport is available from Punta Cana, Bávaro, Uvero Alto, Juan Dolio, Boca Chica and La Romana (please select the appropriate option when booking).

Bayahibe is the meeting point for all participants. From there, we'll board our safari truck and travel to Higüey, the capital of La Altagracia Province, home to around 280,000 residents. In a small group, you'll explore the vibrant local market, discover everyday Dominican life, and visit a traditional cigar factory.

Discover the vibrant city of Higüey and its lively local market, the heart of everyday Dominican life. Browse stalls filled with tropical fruits, local spices and traditional products while experiencing the city's authentic atmosphere. You'll also visit a traditional cigar factory to learn more about one of the Dominican Republic's most iconic products.

5Rio Chavon
Enjoy a relaxing moment on the banks of the beautiful Chavón River. Take a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. A traditional Dominican lunch will be served with panoramic views of the surrounding nature. After lunch, we'll board a riverboat for a peaceful cruise along the Chavón River, where you'll admire the area's breathtaking scenery. We'll finish with another swim in the river, where you can have fun using the rope swing and channel your inner Tarzan! After a day full of unforgettable memories, we'll take you back to your hotel.
