Meet at the depot. There is free parking down the street by the fire station.
You will ride a CCT shuttle from Clyde to Auripo Road, located in the Poolburn Gorge. You will start your journey here, where you will see stunninig landscapes, railway bridges and hand carved tunnels
You will pass thru the town of Lauder. Stop at the Lauder Station and read about its history.
Cycle thru the town of Omakau. Stop for a coffee or snack at the cafe or enjoy a beer or wine at the Omakau Commercial pub.
Take a 1 km detour to the gold mining town of Ophir. Explore the old Post Office and jail. Take a break and enjoy a swim in the river or in the Ophir outdoor swimming pool.
This is a must do! Stop for a drink or lunch at the Chatto Creek Tavern. Feed the pet donkeys and sheep. Sit back and take in the serenity that is this special spot.
There is plenty to do and see in the town of Alexandra. Enjoy cafe's, pubs, eateries and food trucks. Go swimming in the summer and ice skating in the winter.
