This is the trip for the whole family.

The Savegre Rafting Tour Class II–III starts with a drive of about an hour and a half from Manuel Antonio to Río Blanco.

Full of playful rapids and big splashes, the Savegre will soak everybody and get the kids screaming without scaring them off. On the water, rapids like Welcome Rapid, Roller Coaster and Washing Machine set the tone. Halfway down, a short walk leads to a waterfall, where you swim while the guides prepare fresh fruit, cookies and cold drinks.

The last rapid, Santo Domingo, is followed by lunch, either on the riverbank or at a local restaurant on the way home.

Runs all year, about 6 hours from hotel to hotel, lunch included. Choose the Private option (your group only, minimum 2 people) or the Small Group option (shared with other guests, minimum 4 people). Minimum age 6; children pay the same price as adults. For the Small Group option, please book every traveler in your party as an adult so your group is counted correctly.

Tour description Consider one of the cleanest rivers in Central America; the Savegre is an authentic family adventure: relaxation and pure action while enjoying the fantastic landscapes. This adventure starts with an early drive south of Quepos on our a/c minibus. It takes 1 ½ hours through African oil plantations, teak reforestation projects and incredible landscapes to the river put-in. After a safety briefing we start maneuvering rapids like “Welcome” “Rita” “Oh God” “Piñata” “Devil’s Mouth” and “Rollercoaster”, afterwards, we will stop at a gorgeous waterfall where you can swim and enjoy a snack of fresh fruits and cookies to then continue our river journey. Before the end we hit “Gringo Eater” and “Santo Domingo” rapid and then the river tames down until we meet with our mini bus. A 15 minute drive will take us where a hot Costa Rican meal will be served on your table. After lunch is a 30 minute drive back to Quepos.
