Unlike most treks that stay in the crowded refuge, we camp at 3,000m in a peaceful mountain setting, surrounded by spectacular High Atlas scenery. Guests stay in cozy tents and enjoy freshly prepared meals by our expert mountain chef.
The trek is led by a professional local guide born and raised in Imlil, providing genuine insight into Berber culture, traditions, and mountain life. From the scenic drive through traditional villages to the rewarding ascent of North Africa’s highest peak, this tour combines adventure, culture, and local hospitality. What to expect
Embark on a captivating adventure as you commence your journey from the heart of Marrakech, with a scenic 1h30min drive to the picturesque village of Imlil nestled in the High Atlas Mountains. Your local guide awaits, leading you on a 5-hour hike towards the Toubkal base camp at 3207m. Indulge in a delicious lunch before resting in the comfort of Neltner Mountain hut ‘Refuge du Toubkal’, surrounded by the breathtaking altitude of 3,200m. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the mountains as dinner and breakfast are served against the backdrop of Toubkal's majesty.
Day 2: Refuge - Toubkal Summit - Imlil - Marrakech
Awaken to an early breakfast at 4:30 am, setting the stage for an exhilarating ascent to the Toubkal summit. The initial steepness gives way to a more gradual path, allowing you to savor the journey and minimize altitude effects by staying hydrated. Reaching the summit after a 3-hour climb, relish the breathtaking views before descending along the same route to the refuge. Continue your descent to Imlil, where lunch awaits on the road. By 4 pm, reunite with your driver and return to Marrakech.
