Peschici is a charming seaside village on the Gargano, in northern Puglia. The guided tour will take you to discover one of the most beautiful towns in the region, starting from the Porta del Ponte and entering the historic center, rich in palaces and churches with different architectural styles from various historical periods and dominations.
During the tour, you will visit the Church of Saint Elia Profeta, patron of Peschici, built with large marble blocks from local quarries, featuring its imposing bell tower. The route continues towards the Castle, the first structure built in the current historic center on the remains of a Greek stronghold by the Normans around the year 1000.
End the tour with a walk along the seafront and the harbor of Peschici, enjoying views of the sea and boats. Admire the green hills of the Gargano blending with the blue of the sea and the town’s whitewashed buildings. Terraces and viewpoints offer stunning vistas of the coastline and the historic center.

The Castle of Peschici is a historic fortress located at the highest point of the village, built by the Normans around the year 1000 on the remains of a previous Greek stronghold. The structure served a defensive purpose, overseeing the sea and the surrounding area. Today, the castle offers spectacular views of the village, the Gargano, and the sea, and stands as a testament to the strategic and historical past of Peschici ( external visit )
