Bhasmasur Danda is a scenic ridge along the Chandragiri hiking route, named after the mythical demon Bhasmasur from Hindu mythology. According to legend, Bhasmasur was reduced to ashes after being outwitted by Mohini, giving the ridge its name ("Bhasma" means ashes).
