This tour differs because it turns the transfer from Arequipa to Puno into a complete, comfortable and well organized tourist experience. Instead of returning to Arequipa after visiting the Colca, you will take the route to get to know the Colca Valley, sleep one night in Chivay and continue directly to Puno and Lake Titicaca.

Our first big scenic stop will be in the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, a stunning high Andean landscape surrounded by volcanoes and extensive pampas. During the tour you will be able to observe vicuñas, alpacas and llamas in their natural habitat, as well as enjoying unique views of the Peruvian Andes. This stop is ideal for taking pictures and start feeling the beauty of the route to the Colca.
We will make a short stop in Patahuasi, a traditional resting point on the route to the Colca Valley. Here, travelers can better acclimate themselves to the height, use the toiletries and, if they wish, enjoy an infusion of coke, pestle or other hot drink. It is a practical and pleasant stop before continuing to higher altitude areas.
We will visit the Mirador de los Andes, also known as Patapampa, one of the highest points on the route. From this place you can see spectacular views of the volcanoes and mountains surrounding the Colca Valley. It is one of the most striking stops of the first day, ideal for panoramic photographs and to feel the grandeur of the Andean landscape.
We will make a panoramic stop in the Toccra Bofedales, a natural high Andean area where you can appreciate wetlands, Andean birds and animals such as alpacas or llamas. This landscape shows the natural richness of Peruvian puna and allows travelers to enjoy a quiet, authentic and very photogenic environment on the way to Chivay.
We will arrive in Chivay, the main town of the Colca Valley and strategic point to rest before visiting Colca Canyon the next day. You will have free time to have lunch, settle into the hotel and tour the town at your own pace. Chivay offers a welcoming Andean atmosphere, surrounded by mountains, local traditions and valley landscapes.
In the afternoon, those wishing to visit the La Calera Thermal Baths, located near Chivay. This optional activity is perfect for relaxing after the trip along the High Andean route. Its hot springs are highly valued by travelers looking to rest before the second day of tour to the Condor Cross and Puno.
After breakfast, we will start early the tour to the main viewpoints of the Valley and Colca Canyon. Along the way we will make a short stop in Yanque, one of the most representative traditional villages in the valley. Here you can appreciate its square, colonial church and the local atmosphere of the area. Depending on the timetable and the operation of the day, this stop allows you to have an approach to the living culture of the Colca before continuing to the viewpoints of the canyon.
We will visit Maca, a picturesque village in the Colca Valley surrounded by mountains and agricultural terraces. Its colonial church, landscapes and traditional atmosphere make it an attractive stop for photographs and to get to know part of the local life of the valley. Purchases during this stop are optional.
During the tour we will enjoy different views of Colca Canyon, considered one of the most impressive natural landscapes in Peru. Its mountains, terraces, viewpoints and depth create a unique visual experience. The guide will share information about the history, geography and culture of the valley, helping to understand why this destination is one of the most important in the Arequipa region.
We will visit the famous Condor Cross, the most emblematic viewpoint of Colca Canyon. From this point you can appreciate the depth of the canyon and, if the natural conditions are favorable, the majestic flight of the Andean condor. This is one of the most anticipated experiences of the trip and one of the most memorable moments for travelers visiting southern Peru. Then we continue the tour back to Chivay where after lunch we continue the journey to the city of Puno.
We will make a short photo stop in Lagunillas, a beautiful High Andean lagoon located on the route to Puno. Its waters, birds and open landscapes offer one last scenic stop before reaching the capital of Lake Titicaca. It is an ideal place to take pictures and enjoy the tranquility of the highlands.
The tour ends in the city of Puno, with transfer to selected hotels located in the city center or to a previously coordinated central point. Arrival is scheduled approximately between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., depending on the weather, traffic and route conditions.
