The meeting point is two blocks from the central Church, on Avenida Luis A. Martínez and November 12, next to a cafeteria and in front of the hotel Plants and Whites.
Our first stop will be the Mira Mera viewpoint, named after the canton that welcomes you to the Amazon region.
Guided hike through the tropical rainforestIn the afternoon, we will take a 1-hour hike through the jungle. Our specialized guide will provide information about Amazonian plants and trees until we reach the Hola Vida waterfall, where you can swim and enjoy its crystal-clear waters. Traditional Amazonian lunch (optional) We continue the canoe trip for 20 minutes until we reach a place where we will enjoy a delicious lunch. To recharge, we have four options: ChickenBeefFish Maito (Additional Cost $3) Vegetables Visit to a local Kichwa communityOur next stop is to visit the Coto Cocha indigenous community. They will share a traditional dance, show us how to use the blowgun, and visit their museum, which houses their handicrafts. You can purchase them if you wish.
We will travel to the Indichuris viewpoint, where you will witness a beautiful sunset surrounded by vines, hammocks, swings, the jungle, and the mighty Pastaza River in the background. (Additional cost $3) Accommodation and Dinner Our accommodation is waiting for us. We will spend time with an indigenous community, have dinner, and then head off for a night hike to appreciate the flora and fauna of our Amazon. We will return to our accommodation for a well-deserved rest.
DAY 2 Breakfast. Jungle hike to the "Hidden Waterfall" (approximately 3 hours). Geobotanical route, hotel accommodations. Interpretation of the local flora and fauna. Birdwatching, observing nests, butterflies, and insects. Hike and swim at the Hidden Waterfall and/or the Sacred Waterfall (swimming, photography). Lunch. (Tour and Amazonian cuisine) In the afternoon, we will take an excursion in search of alligators. We will navigate or walk near the river while the guide uses flashlights to locate alligators in their natural habitat. This activity is completely safe and one of the most exciting experiences in the Amazon. Organic Chocolate Making in Ecuador Visit a local home and participate in the production of organic chocolate. Return to the city of Baños de Agua Santa.
