Begin the day at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking Uçhisar Castle and the surrounding valleys. Your guide will introduce Cappadocia’s volcanic history, cave settlements and unusual landscape while you enjoy time for photographs. This is a panoramic viewpoint stop. Entrance to Uçhisar Castle itself is not included.
Explore one of Cappadocia’s most important historical and religious sites. Walk through a remarkable complex of rock-cut churches, chapels, monasteries and communal spaces carved into the volcanic landscape. Your guide will explain the history of Cappadocia’s early Christian communities and the meaning of the surviving frescoes. The standard museum admission ticket is included. The Dark Church requires a separate ticket and is not included in the standard tour price.
Continue to Avanos, a riverside town known for its pottery tradition and red clay obtained from the Kızılırmak River. Visit a local pottery workshop and watch artisans demonstrate traditional wheel techniques. Guests may also have an opportunity to try working with the pottery wheel. There is no obligation to purchase anything during the workshop visit.
Enjoy lunch at a selected local restaurant. The menu normally includes a selection of Turkish dishes and may vary according to the restaurant and season. Vegetarian options can be arranged with advance notice. Drinks are not included unless specifically stated.
Then we will drive to Devrent Valley is well known as imagination valley where you can take fantastic pictures with animal-shaped rock formations.
