    Saône and its only major civilian settlement, with a population of approximately 300. Unlike the busiest beaches, this picturesque fishing village offers an authentic and relaxed experience, characterized by its iconic brightly colored wooden houses and sandy streets. Sea Turtle Sanctuary: Run by Pelagio Paulino (known as "Negro"), it is a center dedicated to the conservation of green turtles, hawksbills and tinglar. Visitors can learn about egg hatching and, in season (March to November), see newborn babies.On the main street you will find small local shops selling souvenirs, typical clothes and bracelets at prices often more accessible than in hotel areas.
