What to expect

Gindendo, located in the Oku-Asakusa area, is a workshop run by a lineage of silversmiths that has continued for over 400 years. We offer an experience where you can create pieces using pure silver and traditional forging techniques. Through the process of shaping the silver stroke by stroke with a hammer, you can capture your own time and milestones into the silver. Completed works can be taken home on the same day. You can also tour the gallery, purchase silver works, or consult with us about custom-made items for special occasions. This is a special experience that allows you to touch upon Japanese craftsmanship and the concept of time.
