What to expect
At this workshop, you can easily create your own original Lucky Charm using traditional Japanese decorative washi paper and real 24K gold leaf.
Plan 1:
Decorate a lacquered Maneki-neko (Lucky Cat) with patterned washi paper and real 24K gold leaf.
Plan 2:
Decorate a lacquered traditional Japanese hand mirror with patterned washi paper and real 24K gold leaf.
For both plans, you will also receive a special KODAIWORKS Maneki-neko-shaped charm made from sustainably sourced Japanese hinoki cypress wood. Write your wishes or message on it to complete your very own lucky charm souvenir.
And that’s not all!
A professional photographer will take an instant photo (Cheki/Polaroid-style) during the experience, and you can take it home as a gift.
After completing your craft, enjoy a relaxing green tea drink with a matcha tea experience. As a special bonus, the KODAIWORKS workshop staff will perform an Okinawan Sanshin song just for you.
