SAMURAI DOJO Kendo Experience Course

Kendo is a martial art born from the self-discipline of the Samurai. In this experience, you will practice Kendo with a master who has dedicated 47 years to the art. Participants will change into a Kendo-gi and Hakama, wear authentic protective armor, and learn not only etiquette, footwork, and bamboo sword techniques but also the "Spirit of Bushido" that lies at the heart of Japanese morality. Finally, you will face the Kendo master in a match. Children are welcome. Please come to SAMURAI DOJO to create precious memories of your trip to Japan.

[Experience Program]
① Changing clothes & photo session (20 min)
② Opening etiquette / bow (5 min)
③ Footwork practice (10 min)
④ Practice with bamboo sword (shinai) (30 min)
⑤ Challenge the master (10 min)
⑥ Closing etiquette / bow (5 min)
⑦ Cleaning up & changing clothes (10 min)

* Prices shown are per person.
* When a child participates, at least one adult must also participate in the experience.
* Depending on size, it may not be possible to wear the Kendo-gi, Hakama, or armor.
* Please be punctual for the meeting time.
* The experience time may be slightly extended depending on the number of participants.
