1Hoi An Ancient Town
Begin your evening with a hotel pickup and meet your guide. Get fitted with a helmet and safety gear, then hop on your e-scooter and head out into the early evening light. Ride out of town as the afternoon heat softens. Pass through open rice fields before arriving at a neighborhood market just waking up for the evening. Stop for your first local bite here. Cross the river bridge as the sun sets over the water. Stop to take in the view and snap some photos. On the other side of the river, pull over for something crispy and distinctly local — the kind of snack you'd only know about if someone showed you. As darkness falls and the lanterns come on, the food gets more serious. Try grilled pork rolled in fresh rice paper, a bowl of cao lầu made with water drawn from a specific ancient well, and if there's still room, the city's famous bánh mì. End your evening with a local dessert somewhere with good light and no hurry. Then, return to your hotel, right on time.
