This experience is designed as a complete journey through southern Crete, combining dramatic canyon scenery, a unique palm forest, and the wild beauty of the Libyan Sea.
Unlike standard tours focused only on Preveli Beach, this private experience also takes you to Kourtaliotiko Gorge, where a scenic walk leads toward waterfalls and natural pools surrounded by towering cliffs. Preveli then reveals a completely different landscape, where river, palm forest, and sea meet in one of Crete’s most distinctive natural settings.
If you wish, your host can recommend a traditional mountain village taverna where you can enjoy an optional lunch and discover authentic Cretan flavors and local specialties.

Meeting and pickup
Pickup is provided directly from your accommodation or a nearby accessible meeting point in the Chania region.
Please be ready outside your hotel or at the agreed pickup location at least 5 minutes before the scheduled pickup time.

What to expect
Travel through the Cretan countryside toward Kourtaliotiko Gorge, where towering cliffs and natural springs create one of the island’s most impressive landscapes.
## Kourtaliotiko Gorge
Follow a scenic path into the gorge, approximately 20–30 minutes each way, toward waterfalls and natural pools surrounded by dramatic rock formations.
## Preveli Palm Beach
Continue to Preveli Beach, where a river flows through a forest of wild date palms before meeting the Libyan Sea. Swim, relax, or walk along the palm-lined river.
## Optional Mountain Village Lunch
After Preveli, continue toward a traditional mountain village. If you wish, your host can recommend a local taverna to enjoy authentic Cretan cuisine and seasonal specialties.
Lunch is optional, not included in the tour price, and paid directly at the restaurant.
