    After your pick up from your hotel or accommodation in Cairo or Giza, we will head southwest together to Saqqara, where our fascinating journey into the world of Ancient Egypt begins.

    Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids

    A special highlight in Saqqara is a visit to the magnificently decorated tombs of the senior officials of the Old Kingdom. The unique reliefs impressively depict everyday life over 4,500 years ago – from agriculture and crafts to music, hunting and religious ceremonies. As a German-speaking Egyptologist, I will explain the history, symbolism and life of the viziers and highest officials of the pharaohs.

    After our visit to Saqqara with its impressive tombs of the senior officials and viziers of the Old Kingdom, as well as the famous Step Pyramid of the Djoser, we continue north to the Pyramids of Giza. On the way we take a pleasant lunch break and enjoy an oriental lunch at a local restaurant.

    Pyramids of Giza

    After arriving at Giza Plateau, we will make three carefully selected photo stops and viewpoints. Each of these stops offers a unique view of the pyramids and is great for taking memorable photos. At the same time, as a German-speaking Egyptologist, I will explain the history, architecture and secrets of the most famous buildings of Ancient Egypt.
