Mexico City Food Tour: Mole, Mezcal & the Historic Center

3 hours 30 minutes (approximately)
Offered in: English

Mexico City was built directly on top of Tenochtitlan, stone by stone, the same way today's Mexican food was built on top of a 9,000-year-old corn tradition. This tour traces both layers at once, six stops through the historic center tasting how Indigenous, Spanish, and Lebanese influences all ended up on the same plate.

Taste a wedding mole made the traditional way, try wild-gathered insects, tacos al pastor sliced fresh off the spit, and pulque poured in the city's oldest surviving pulquería.
