The lowest point in North America, and you are back in Las Vegas the same day.

Death Valley is not a place you pass through - it is 3.4 million acres of salt flats, sand dunes and eroded badlands, and doing it properly from Vegas means an early start and someone who knows where to be and when. That is the whole point of this tour.

Pickup details:

This is a small group tour. Depending on the group size that day we use a 7-seat minivan or a 15-seat passenger van - never a large coach.

EARLY START: hotel pickup is between 5:00 and 5:30 am. We leave early on purpose - it is the only way to be inside Death Valley before the heat and with the best light of the day.

PICKUP AREA: we pick up ONLY from hotels on the Las Vegas Strip and in the Fremont Street / Downtown area. If you are staying at an Airbnb, a private home, or any hotel outside these two areas, please contact us after booking: pickup can be arranged on request for an extra $25 per booking, or you can meet us at a Strip hotel at no extra cost.

The day before your tour, between 4-6 pm, you will receive an email or text message with your exact pickup time and everything else you need for the tour. Please make sure the phone number and email on your booking are correct.

Drop-off is at the same hotel where you were picked up.

What to expect

Death Valley is the hottest, driest and lowest place in North America, and it starts two hours from the Strip.

We leave Las Vegas early so you are in the park while the light is still low and the heat has not arrived. You stand at Badwater Basin, 282 feet below sea level, on a salt flat that runs to the horizon. You look down over the eroded badlands from Zabriskie Point, the view that opens almost every photograph of the park. And you walk out onto the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes near Stovepipe Wells.

Between the stops your guide explains how the valley got this hot, how the salt got there, and how anything survives it - the geology, the ecology and the borax-mining history that gave the park its Twenty Mule Team.

Small group, air-conditioned van, unlimited cold water, and the same driver-guide with you the whole day.
