From Hadrian’s Arch, walk with your licensed guide toward the Acropolis entrance and enter the archaeological site together around opening time — one of the best moments of the day to experience this iconic monument before the main crowds and heat build up. Inside the Acropolis, follow a carefully paced route through the ancient citadel. See the Theatre of Dionysus, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon, and the Erechtheion while your guide brings to life the myths, history, architecture, and people behind Athens’ most famous landmark. The early morning atmosphere makes the visit more comfortable and gives you better opportunities for photos and panoramic views over Athens. After the guided tour, you are welcome to remain inside the site at your own pace to take photos, enjoy the views, or continue with your own plans.
