What to expect

Ride four days through the Sierras Chicas de Córdoba, along an exclusive route that runs through six private fields to the foothills of Cerro Uritorco : a road that no other operator travels.

Everything starts the previous afternoon in Capilla del Monte: reception in cabins at the foot of the hill, roast Creole and folk music.

The next day you leave along the Toro Trail towards the Los Alazanes levee, between native bushland and mountain range fauna, crossing the Calabalumba River twelve times. The second day you ascend to the northwest viewpoint of the Uritorco, at 1,980 meters, with 360° panoramic views of the Punilla Valley, Totoral and the Salinas Grandes. The third you descend along the edges to the Valley of Ongamira, overlooking the Quebrada de Luna, Los Terrones and the Grottos de Ongamira, and you know the history of the Colchiquí Hill, sacred site of the native peoples. The last day, short closing ride.

You ride Creole breeding horses and dressage of your own, guided by cowboys from the area. It rides 4 to 5 hours a day and sleeps in mountain shelters with bed and hot water, without tents. Each day closes with regional food, stove and guitar.

No previous experience required – basic fitness only.
