We start our journey at the majestic Klosterneuburg Abbey, a place of deep spiritual and historical significance. The Treasure: We visit the Imperial Treasury to see the "Archducal Hat." It’s not just a crown; it’s a symbol of the region’s identity. The Atmosphere: Walking through these 900-year-old halls, you will feel the connection between the ruling Habsburgs and the monks who have guarded this place (and its wine!) for centuries.

2Lower Austria
Between the abbey and the vineyards, we enjoy a relaxing drive through the Lower Austrian countryside. This is the perfect time to sit back and let the landscape roll by. While your private driver navigates, your guide will share fascinating stories about the history of the Danube or simply let you enjoy the peace and quiet before our next adventure.

3Durnstein
As we arrive in Dürnstein, the "Pearl of the Wachau," you’ll understand why poets and painters love this place. The Walk: We stroll through the cobbled streets, filled with the scent of apricots and the charm of old houses. The Legend: Looking up at the ruins, your guide will share the romantic and dramatic story of Richard the Lionheart. It’s a perfect spot for memorable photos. Lunch Break: This charming village is also the ideal place to pause. We can recommend a cozy traditional tavern or a restaurant with a river view, where you can enjoy delicious local dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. (Lunch cost not included).

4Wachau Valley
This is often the favorite part of the day. We visit a local family winery nestled among the vines. The Experience: There is no rush here. We sit down to taste the crisp Grüner Veltliner and elegant Riesling. You’ll meet the people who make the wine, hear their stories, and enjoy the genuine Austrian hospitality ("Gemütlichkeit") that you can't find in big production halls.

5Melk Abbey
The grand finale is Stift Melk. Standing on its terrace overlooking the valley is an unforgettable experience. At Melk we explore the abbey courtyards and visit the magnificent abbey church — both free to enter — while your guide brings the abbey's 900-year story to life. Tickets to the interior state rooms and library are not included, but can be arranged on request. We admire the stunning Baroque architecture and visit the church, which shines with gold and light. Rather than rushing through museums, we take time to absorb the grandeur of the courtyards and the panoramic views, reflecting on the beauty of the day.

6Vienna
As we drive back you can close your eyes and relax, carrying with you the taste of wine and the memories of a beautiful day. Evening drive back to Vienna (approx. 1 hr) — rest and enjoy the views; hotel drop-off.
