    Puerto Jimenez

    Today, your adventure begins with a domestic flight from San José to Puerto Jiménez, offering breathtaking aerial views of Costa Rica’s landscapes as you fly south toward the Osa Peninsula. Upon arrival, transfer to Botanika, where you will check in and settle into your room. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the hotel’s facilities, relaxing by the pool, or soaking in the tropical atmosphere of the region.

    OSA PENÍNSULA: RAINFOREST TOUR

    Osa Peninsula

    After breakfast, set out for an unforgettable rainforest safari in the Osa Peninsula. Travel in a specially adapted vehicle along scenic rainforest roads toward Matapalo, a prime area for wildlife sightings. Watch for monkeys, scarlet macaws, sloths, toucans, reptiles, frogs, and other native species. An expert naturalist guide will use a high-powered telescope to bring wildlife closer while sharing insights into animal behavior, rainforest ecosystems, and conservation. Enjoy scenic stops for photography and wildlife observation at a relaxed pace.

  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Passengers must arrive at the domestic terminal at Juan Santamaría International Airport. The airline operating the flight is Sansa. Please note that the transfer from San José hotels to the domestic terminal is not included, therefore passengers must make their own way to the terminal.
  • Passengers must be at the terminal one hour prior to departure for check-in.
  • We will inform Botanika Hotel of the arrival time and the hotel staff will be waiting for the passengers on the airstrip with a sign displaying their name.
  • The transfer takes approximately 3 mins, as the hotel is located very close to the domestic terminal in Puerto Jiménez.
  • At departure the hotel will transfer the passengers to the Puerto Jiménez airstrip one hour before the flight and our services will conclude upon arrival in San José.
