Meet your friendly private guide at your hotel lobby morning or afternoon per your preferred schedule. Travel by comfortable vehicle to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, a non‑profit facility for giant pandas, red pandas, peacocks and black swans. Tour multiple zones to discover the giant panda life cycle from tiny newborn cubs to full‑grown adults. View newborn cubs in the nursery — weighing just 3.5 ounces (100g) at birth and walking independently by three months. Continue to the sub‑adult and adult enclosures to watch pandas munch bamboo, sleep and play. Take plenty of photos of these beloved endangered animals. After your half‑day visit, return to downtown Chengdu. Your guide can suggest a great local lunch venue and accompany you there upon request.
