If you want to see more of the UAE than just Dubai, this six emirates sightseeing tour covers a lot in one single day. Starting from Dubai, the tour goes through Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah where you get to see the coastal areas, cultural landmarks, old markets and historic sites of each emirate. And since every emirate has its own look and feel, you will notice how different the city side is from the mountains and beaches of the east coast.
The big plus point is that you don't need to worry about the travel part. Pickup and drop-off is from your hotel in Dubai and the whole journey is in an air-conditioned vehicle, with a professional driver and tourist guide who explains about the places on the way. So you just sit back and enjoy the day. Lunch is also available as an option, and my suggestion is to select it at the time of booking only, as it saves time on a long day like this.

Now when you enter Sharjah, the first stop is the Corniche where the road goes along the water side. So the vehicle drives slowly here and you can see the waterfront and the city buildings from the window also. It is a good start for the Sharjah part of the six emirates tour as you get the idea of how the city is settled on the coast.
After the Corniche, the tour goes to Qanat Al Qasba which is a canal area (very popular among the locals in evening time). There are cafes, restaurants and some leisure spots on both the sides of the canal. And even if you are seeing it for short time, you can understand why families and tourists like to come here.
Sharjah Central Souk is more famous with the name of Blue Souk and the reason is the blue tiles that are on its building. Inside the souk there are many small shops that sells jewellery, carpets, souvenirs and other local goods. So if you want to buy something for your family back home, this is the place where you can easily find it.
Now if we talk about Sharjah Fish Market, it shows you the daily life side of the emirate. You can pass by it or go inside to see the fresh fish and seafood that the local people buy from here. Having said that, its a very different experience from the big malls of UAE that most of the tourists usually visit.
Now this is one of the main cultural landmarks of Sharjah which shows the Islamic history, art and heritage of the region. The building is near the waterfront and its golden dome is easy to spot from outside also. It is part of the Sharjah sightseeing route, but going inside the museum depends on whether entry is included in your tour package, so better to confirm it at the time of booking.
After that the vehicle drives through the Quran Roundabout, which is a very well known landmark of Sharjah. In the middle of it there is a big monument (made in the shape of an open Holy Quran) that most of the visitors like to see. Since its a drive through stop, you get a short view of it from the vehicle while moving towards the next part of the tour.
Now when the tour reaches Ajman, the first stop is the Ajman Museum which is set inside an old fort. The fort itself shows the traditional architecture of the emirate with its thick walls and watch towers. So even from outside you get an idea of Ajman's past, and the inside visit is possible only if it is part of your confirmed tour arrangement.
Next comes Ajman Beach where you can see the Arabian Gulf and the waterfront area of the emirate. It is more quiet and relaxed as compared to the busy beaches of Dubai. And this stop gives you some time to enjoy the sea view and the coastal feel of Ajman during the day.
Now if we talk about shopping in Ajman, the gold area is the place where many jewellery shops are there with different gold designs and other ornaments. You can walk around and see the shops if the time and tour schedule allows. Having said that, many people also like to compare the designs here with Dubai's gold souk before buying anything.
Now on the way the tour passes through Umm Al Quwain, which is one of the most quiet emirates of the UAE. There is not much rush here as compared to Dubai or Sharjah, so you can see the coastal area and the simple traditional look of the town from the vehicle. Its more like a scenic drive through part of the day and gives you a different feel of the UAE.
After that the tour goes to Ras Al Khaimah where the RAK Queen Palace landmark is included in the itinerary. Having said that, whether you can go inside or only see it from outside depends on the access available on that day. So better to check the confirmed schedule with the tour operator before you plan anything around this stop.
Now if we talk about Fujairah, Al Badiyah Mosque is one of the most important stops of the east coast. It is known as the oldest mosque in the UAE and the simple old style architecture with its small domes is what makes it special. Since its a religious place, visitors need to dress modestly (shoulders and knees covered) and follow the guidance of the local staff there.
Fujairah Museum is the place where you can learn about the history and heritage of the emirate. It has items from the archaeological finds of the area along with things that show the old way of life of the people. But the inside entry is only possible if your tour package includes it, so do confirm this at the time of booking.
On the road near Masafi there is the Friday Market, and let me tell you that it is open on other days also, not only on Friday. Here you will find many shops that sells pottery, carpets, souvenirs, plants and other local products. Any shopping you do here is from your own pocket unless something different is mentioned in the package.
Next comes Khorfakkan Beach which is on the Gulf of Oman side of the country. The beach has the mountains right behind it and this combination of sea and mountains is the big plus point of this stop. So its one of the best spots on the east coast to enjoy the view and take some photos.
At the end, the tour covers Fujairah Fort which is one of the oldest forts of the UAE and was used for the defence of the area in old times. The stone walls and towers give you a good idea of the emirate's history even from outside. And whether you can explore inside or only the outside area depends on the access and schedule confirmed by your tour operator.
