What to expect

Explore the craft of Sardinian myrtle in the Olbia region, at the heart of eastern Sardinia. Stroll through naturally grown myrtle plants, carefully nurtured for generations, in a stunning spot overlooking the Gulf of Marinella. During your visit to the production workshop, you'll discover how the berries are crafted into aromatic liqueurs and learn about the production process starting from the plants themselves. Knowledgeable guides will take you on this sensory adventure, ending with a tasting of four varieties of myrtle liqueur paired with three refined essential oils.
PROGRAMME
You will visit the myrtle plantation, a cultivation of Myrtus communis set within its natural environment, where the plants have never been treated with pesticides. Five different varieties of myrtle are grown here, selected from the approximately 200 varieties recorded in Sardinia. During the tour, the company’s philosophy and the cultivation methods used will be explained.
Visit to the production laboratory, distillery and steam-powered still where gin and essential oils are produced, with explanations of the entirely artisanal production process.

  • Pets are allowed on a leash in open spaces but not in the production lab. You will also need to notify the guide of the presence of pets at the number on the Reservation Voucher before arriving at the meeting point.
  • It is possible to reach the meeting point only by car. It is not possible to get there by public transportation and it is not recommended to arrive by bike because of the slope of the road in the last section.
  • The tasting is available for participants 18 years of age and older. Children and young people aged 6 years to 17 years will be offered juice, a small snack with cheese, sausage and carasau bread, and ice cream.
