Your safari adventure begins with an early-morning pickup from your hotel or the Nairobi airport, followed by a scenic drive north through Kenya’s changing landscapes toward the rugged beauty of Samburu National Reserve. As you travel, you will pass through local towns, farmlands, and semi-arid countryside, giving you a glimpse of northern Kenya’s unique charm. You will arrive at your safari lodge or camp in time for lunch and check-in. After some time to relax and settle in, head out for your first afternoon game drive in Samburu, a reserve known for its distinctive wildlife, including Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx, alongside elephants, lions, and leopards. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight at Samburu Simba Lodge or similar

After an early breakfast at the lodge, depart with packed lunch boxes for a full-day exploration of the wild and scenic Samburu National Reserve. This unique northern Kenya reserve offers a very different safari experience, with dramatic landscapes, open scrublands, acacia woodlands, and the life-giving Ewaso Nyiro River, which attracts a wide variety of wildlife. Throughout the day, enjoy game drives across different parts of the reserve as you search for Samburu’s famous special species, including the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Somali ostrich, and Beisa oryx, as well as elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and many bird species. After breakfast at the lodge, check out and begin your scenic journey south toward Lake Naivasha, passing through diverse landscapes and the dramatic escarpments of the Great Rift Valley. You will arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and check-in. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you will glide past hippos and spot a variety of birdlife along the shores. For those who wish to extend the experience, you may opt for a guided walking safari at Crescent Island at an extra cost, offering a unique opportunity to walk among zebras, giraffes, and antelopes in a beautiful lakeside setting. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
