Meeting and pickup
We pick up guests from any hotels within 3rd ring road of Xi'an by didi taxi.
We will send clients car plate 2 minutes before the pickup time.
What to expect
Your host will first tour you around the neighborhood, then head to a local Xi’an household to make dumplings, a classic Chinese snack.
You’ll mix fillings, roll wrappers and fold dumplings together. Hand-pulled belt noodles are trickier yet more fun: stretch a 10cm dough piece slowly into a 2-meter ribbon noodle, sensing its soft elasticity and enjoying hands-on cooking fun. After cooking, share the homemade feast with your host, paired with local wine, beer or regional drinks if you like.
Chat over food with your host to experience everyday Chinese urban family life and dining manners. Post-meal, sip tea together and learn about Chinese tea culture as you swap travel stories.
Finally, your host will help find a taxi to send you back to your hotel.
