This is a full lunchtime experience built around handpicked food, not a checklist of famous bars. You'll eat your way through a carefully curated selection of pintxos and drinks while your local guide explains how the city's food culture actually works.
You'll learn what to look for, what to order, which dishes should be ordered fresh, and how to navigate a busy pintxo bar without the guesswork.
The experience is designed to be useful beyond the tour itself. By the end, you'll have enjoyed a full lunch and you'll know how to explore San Sebastian's pintxo scene on your own for the rest of your stay.

What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Meet your guide at the main entrance of San Martín Market, at Arrasate Kalea 35. Before the tour, you will receive a message with your guide's name, photo, and clear instructions on how to identify them at the meeting point. Please arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled starting time.
The tour ends in Plaza de la Constitución, in the heart of the Old Town. You're free to go from there — you'll be a couple of minutes from the market, the port and most of the bars we've talked about, with the rest of the afternoon to try them yourself.

Explore San Sebastian's food culture on a 3-hour lunchtime walking tour with a local food guide. Walk through the city and its Old Town, visit handpicked pintxo bars, and enjoy a generous selection of pintxos, local drinks, and a sweet finish. The tastings are designed to make up a full lunch rather than just a few small samples. Along the way, learn how San Sebastian's pintxo culture actually works: what to order, what to look for in a good pintxo bar, which dishes are worth ordering fresh, and how to navigate the city's bars with confidence. Your guide will also share stories about Basque food, local culture, and the city as you walk between stops. The food and route are curated by Pot Luck Food Tours and the experience is hosted by one of our local food guides.
