Fun Pasta Making Class With a Local Chef in Louisville

2 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English

There are two kinds of Alfredo sauce in this world. The kind that comes out of a jar and the kind you make yourself with real butter, fresh cream and proper Parmesan. After this class you will only be making the second kind. Chef Christine walks you through the whole thing in a relaxed, beginner-friendly setting, starting with a simple pasta dough of flour, eggs and olive oil that you will knead, roll and hand-cut into fettuccine noodles. Then comes the Alfredo, rich, velvety and seasoned with garlic and parsley until it is the kind of sauce that makes the room go quiet when people take their first bite. Comforting, satisfying and genuinely impressive. Louisville night out sorted.

What to expect

Fettuccine Alfredo is one of those dishes that sounds simple until you taste a truly great version and realise everything you have been eating before was just fine. This class is where fine becomes exceptional. Chef Christine will show you exactly how. You will start by combining flour, eggs, olive oil and a pinch of salt into a proper pasta dough, kneading and rolling it until it is smooth and silky before cutting it into fettuccine noodles the old-fashioned way. While those cook, you will build an Alfredo sauce from butter, cream and Parmesan that is rich, velvety and seasoned with garlic and parsley until it coats every strand of pasta exactly the way it should. The setting is casual, Chef Christine makes every technique completely approachable and the end result is the kind of comfort food that earns you serious credibility in the kitchen. No experience needed. Just show up hungry.
