Your safari adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha followed by a scenic 2-hour drive (approx. 120 km) to Tarangire National Park. Renowned as the "Home of the Giants," Tarangire is famous for harboring Tanzania’s largest concentration of elephants amidst iconic, centuries-old baobab trees. Enjoy a full 5 to 6-hour game drive exploring the park’s diverse ecosystems along the Tarangire River. Along with massive elephant herds, expect to spot lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and vibrant birdlife. After a picnic lunch surrounded by wild nature, you will exit the park in the late afternoon and travel to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at a mid-range lodge.
After breakfast in Karatu, depart for the legendary Central Serengeti (Seronera). As the sun begins to set over the horizon, head back to your central Serengeti camp or lodge for dinner, relaxation, and a cozy evening around the camp atmosphere.
After an early breakfast, exit the Serengeti and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters into the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive inside the world’s largest intact caldera. The crater floor offers a dense concentration of wildlife, providing your best chance to spot the rare Black Rhino along with lions, elephants, hippos, and flamingos. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool before ascending the crater walls in the early afternoon. Conclude your safari with a scenic drive back to Karatu and onward to Arusha or your designated airport drop-off point.
