◆Tsunayakata (Tsuna's Mansion) Watanabe no Tsuna, a warlord from around the 10th century, fought a demon and cut off the demon's arm with his "Higekiri" sword. However, the demon appears disguised as Tsuna's aunt and tries to get its arm back. This piece is performed in the suodori style, in which the dancer wears a kimono and hakama without the elaborate costumes or wigs typically associated with the role. ◆Tsuchigumo (The Spirit of the Spider) A sick warlord from around the 10th century, Minamoto no Yorimitsu, is visited one after another by mysterious visitors who try to approach Yorimitsu with deceptive and hostile intent, but their true identity is the spirit of the spider. Yorimitsu confronts it with his "Hizamaru" sword. A new piece was created for this performance based on a classical music piece, Nagauta "Tsuchigumo trilogy."
