Summers in Lapland are brief, but we know how to make the best of the great weather while we have it! Bask in the beauty and embrace the fun with this package including rowing, fishing, swimming and a variety of Finnish lawn games.

For this package we bring you to one of Finland’s favorite summer locations: a traditional Finnish summer cottage (mökki). Important to the identity and culture of Finland, the summer cottage offers a break from city life and an opportunity to reconnect with the forests, lakes and streams that have become indelible symbols of our proud, Nordic nation. It is here where we offer our guests a genuine, Finnish summer experience.
Bask in the serene silence, enjoy the secluded privacy, trek through the picturesque forest, and make the best of our Finnish Summer Favorites!

Pick up locations availabile for the tour:

Wild Nordic Safari Center in the Santa Claus Village - Joulupukintie 1 (20 minutes before the start of the tour)
City Center: Wild Nordic Rovaniemi Pick Up Point - Valtakatu 35, 96200 (5 minutes before the start of the tour)

If you choose the city center pick up location please look for the "Wild Nordic Pick-up point" sign along the street in front of the Valtakatu 35.

What to expect

Finnish summer experience; including a variety of Finnish yard games such as mölkky (skittle scatter), tikka (darts), kroketti (croquet), sulkapallo (badminton) and more. Nestled along the shore of a forest lake, this summer cottage with a beautiful yard is the perfect setting for a small, family getaway. Swim in the cool water, soak up the sun’s warm rays, or go rowing and fishing together! This secluded location also offers another truly Lappish experience: the kota. Kota is a traditional hut where you will grill sausages, roast marshmallows, and enjoy every Finn's favorite, fire-side treat: lettu (crepes)!

Additional info

  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • All the pick-up times are subject to a 15-minute difference depending on the other participants joining the tours. Customers shall wait for their pick-up location (or such other area as notified by Wild Nordic)
  • No refund of the tours will be made if the customer misses the pick up services as a result of failing to wait at the designated pick-up area. Wild Nordic has the right to charge reasonable expenses arising from such neglect to follow the timetable of the program.
  • Intoxication on the tour is forbidden
