One hour from Tokyo, Chiba offers what the city cannot — fruit you pick yourself, a castle most visitors never find, and a bay view that puts the whole journey in perspective. All in one day, one city.
The morning begins at a real working farm. Pick strawberries, blueberries, pears, or grapes by hand, guided by local farm staff. No queues, no theme parks — just the orchard and the season.
After lunch, board the world's longest suspended monorail. It glides above streets and between buildings, offering views of everyday Chiba from a height that makes it feel extraordinary.
In the afternoon, climb to Inohana Castle — seat of the Chiba clan for 300 years. Five floors of armour and scrolls await, with a terrace view over the city worth every step.
Then rise 113 metres above Tokyo Bay at Chiba Port Tower. The port spreads below, the peninsula curves in the distance, and the day settles into a view you will not forget.
