The clock tower was originally built as a fortification in 1881, and served as the first police station in Taiping. It continued to be a police station till 1950. It is one of the more popular and recognizable landmarks in Taiping

The Peking Hotel was built in 1929, believed to be the home of a wealthy merchant. Once office for the Taiping Rubber Dealers Association, was used as a garrison for Japanese military police during their occupation of Taiping in World War II.
The Taiping Market was built between 1884 and 1885, in what is the first modern market complex and square in Peninsular Malaya
This is the oldest mosque in Taiping, dating back to the 1890s.
