A private day trip from Sarajevo to Travnik and Jajce, two old Bosnian capitals about an hour and a half apart. In Travnik you walk up to the fortress, see the Colourful Mosque with its painted walls and pass the house where the writer Ivo Andrić was born.
After lunch you drive on to Jajce, the seat of the last Bosnian kings. Your tour leader takes you up through the old town to the fortress, the catacombs and St Luke's bell tower, then down to the Pliva Waterfall, which drops about 20 metres right in the middle of town. If time allows, the last stop is the row of wooden watermills on the Pliva Lakes.
The car is yours for the day, and your driver is also your tour leader. If you would like a certified local guide in Travnik and in Jajce, let us know after booking (€77 per group in each town). We leave at 9:00 from your hotel or from Sarajevo City Hall and are back around 20:00.
Our guide/driver will pick you up from any location or address you provide. You will be able to recognize our vehicle by the Balkland logo on it.
Sarajevo City Hall is a famous landmark located in the old town, just before the last station of the tram. There is a small parking area in front of the City Hall where our vehicle will be parked. Our guide will be waiting for you with a Balkland sign to help you get started on your tour.
