A private half-day trip from Sarajevo, about five to six hours in total. We pick you up at 10:00 from your hotel or from Sarajevo City Hall and drive 40 minutes north to Bijambare, a protected area of pine forest and meadows.
You go into the main cave on a guided visit with the cave staff (included), along a lit path between the stalactites. Back outside you see a group of medieval tombstones (stećci) in the forest. There is also a swing on the cliff edge if you want a photo.
On the way back you stop at Vrelo Bosne, the spring of the Bosna River at the foot of Mount Igman. Paths and small wooden bridges cross the streams, and the walk is flat and easy. Entrance fees and the private car are included. Your driver is also your tour leader.
Our guide/driver will pick you up from any location or address you provide. You will be able to recognize our vehicle by the logo on it.
Sarajevo City Hall is a famous landmark located in the old town, just before the last station of the tram. There is a small parking area in front of the City Hall where our vehicle will be parked. Our guide will be waiting for you with a Balkland sign to help you get started on your tour.
Explore the Bijambare protected area: walk among the show cave's stalactites and see the nearby medieval stećci tombstones.
Finish at Vrelo Bosne, the springs of the Bosna River, with an easy stroll along shaded paths and small bridges.
