Iwabitsu Sanada Ninja Museum "Ninpaku"

Step into the world of the ninja at Ninpaku, a hands-on attraction in Higashiagatsuma, Gunma, where you can see, play, and learn about Japan's legendary shadow warriors.

The museum displays over 300 genuine ninja artifacts, collected over 50 years by the late Kenji Yamagishi, one of Japan's foremost collectors. See real shuriken, kusarigama, and concealed weapons—one of the Kanto region's finest ninja collections.
Enjoy hands-on fun for all ages: shuriken throwing, ninja costume dress-up, trap-dodging training, and VR sword-fighting "VS Sanada Yukimura." As a fully indoor facility, it's a perfect rain-or-shine destination.

Just a 1-minute walk from JR Gunma-Haramachi Station, Ninpaku pairs perfectly with the Iwabitsu Castle ruins, Joshu Sanada Shrine, scenic Agatsuma Gorge, and the famous Kusatsu, Shima, and Ikaho hot springs.

A one-of-a-kind stop for history buffs, families, and travelers eager to experience authentic Japanese ninja culture.

With over 300 ninja tools and weapons on display, including shurikens, kusarigamas, kusari fundo, and hidden mechanisms, Ninpaku boasts one of the largest permanent exhibitions of ninja tools in Japan. The collection, known as the Yamagishi Collection, was curated by the late Kenji Yamagishi, a renowned collector of ninja tools from all over the country. The use of projection mapping, kinetic light systems, interactive flooring, and other cutting-edge audiovisual lighting techniques breathe new life into the antiquities on display. Adjacent to Ninpaku, like a twin, is the warehouse of ninja entertainment called "Nintame." It stands out as a ninja training ground for children, offering VR sword fighting attraction "VS Sanada Yukimura," a shuriken game for young children using CG, classic ninja games, and the opportunity to experience ninja and armor cosplay. A visit to Ninpaku takes you on a time leap spanning 400 years.
