Budapest Gellert Hill Private Tour

3 hours (approximately)
Offered in: German and 1 more

If you are looking for the absolute highlight of Budapest and want to experience a bit of urban nature as well and a spiritual side of the city, this is the tour for you.

We start by visiting one of the most unique churches in town: the cave church, hewn into Gellert Hill. While part of it is man made indeed, the general atmosphere takes you back to the early days of Christianity, when the church was hiding from public.

We continue on foot up to the Statue of Liberty and the Citadel, while pausing at one or the other lookout spot to enjoy breathtaking views of the city.

The summit is the absolute highlight of Budapest and if you are already tired, we can take a coffee break.

Our journey continues downwards to one of the lower terraces of the mountain, to a place of peace and quiet: the philosopher's garden.

To wrap up the tour we finish our little mountain hike at the statue of St. Gerard of Hungary.
