Discover the dramatic beauty of the Jura Highlands on an exclusive, private journey through Poland's "Trail of the Eagle's Nests." Led by a local licensed guide, this tour is designed for those who seek deep historical context without the rush of a typical group tour.

We explore the region's most spectacular landmarks: the colossal ruins of Ogrodzieniec (as seen in Netflix’s "The Witcher"), the contrasting "Twin Castles" of Bobolice and Mirów, and the stunning Renaissance courtyard of Pieskowa Skała. Beyond the stone walls, we venture into the unexpected: the Błędów Desert—Central Europe’s largest accumulation of loose sand.

This is a "Slow Tour" experience. We prioritize breathtaking views, expert storytelling, and high-quality photography spots. With door-to-door private transport and a flexible itinerary that includes a traditional Polish lunch stop, you will experience the soul of the Polish countryside in total comfort.

We start our day with a comfortable, scenic 1.5-hour private drive from Krakow into the heart of the Jura Highlands. Our first destination is the Royal Castle in Bobolice—a stunning example of a 14th-century fortress brought back to life from total ruin. We will walk the castle grounds to admire its majestic silhouette. To kick off our adventure in "Slow Tour" style, we’ll stop at the local castle tavern (Karczma) for a morning coffee with a view of the medieval walls.

Just a short drive from its "twin" in Bobolice stands the raw and dramatic ruin of Mirów Castle. This site offers a perfect contrast to its restored brother, showing the "romantic" side of the Eagle's Nests trail. We will explore the perimeter of the fortress, capture the best photography angles of its limestone walls, and hear the tragic legends that have linked these two castles for centuries.

Continuing 40 minutes further south, we reach the crown jewel of the trail. Explore the largest and most impressive ruins in the region. Built directly into the limestone rocks, this fortress served as a filming location for Netflix's "The Witcher." We will tour the interior of the ruins, climbing the tower and exploring the courtyards and walls. Afterward, we enjoy a break for a traditional Polish lunch in the shadow of the castle walls (lunch cost not included).

Description: A 20-minute drive takes us to a landscape that feels worlds away from the medieval castles. Step onto the sands of Central Europe’s largest inland desert. We will visit a spectacular viewpoint to discuss the fascinating medieval industrial history that led to the creation of this "desert" and hear about its unique role as a military training ground for the Afrika Korps during WWII. It is a perfect spot for surreal, wide-angle photography.

Our final destination is a 30-minute drive into the heart of the Ojcowski National Park. Often called the "Pearl of the Polish Renaissance," this castle is the best-preserved residence on the trail. We will visit the stunning outer courtyard (entrance included) to admire the Italian-style loggias and the famous "Hercules' Club"—a 25-meter tall limestone monolith. We conclude our journey with a relaxing coffee or dessert at the castle's panoramic cafe before the 45-minute return drive to Krakow.
