Meeting and pickup
Pickup is available from accommodations in Marrakech. Please be ready 20 minutes before departure. Your driver/guide will meet you at your hotel/riad reception (or the main entrance) and will ask for the lead traveler’s name. If your accommodation is inside the medina and not accessible by car, we will confirm the nearest meeting point the day before the tour via WhatsApp, with clear directions.
Hotel pickup is included in Marrakech. Please provide your hotel or riad name. If staying inside the Medina, share your address and we will arrange pickup at the nearest accessible meeting point. Pickup details will be confirmed in advance.
What to expect
Upon arrival in a traditional Berber village, you will be welcomed by local women and introduced to their way of life, customs, and ancestral traditions. Learn about the importance of couscous in Moroccan culture and discover how it has been prepared for generations using local ingredients. Observe how Berber women traditionally roll, steam, and cook couscous by hand, then actively take part in the process yourself, from preparing semolina to cutting fresh seasonal vegetables.
This hands-on experience allows you to truly connect with local people, share stories, and understand daily life in rural Morocco. After the cooking workshop, sit down together to enjoy the home-cooked couscous you helped prepare, shared in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Throughout the day, you will experience the real Morocco far from mass tourism, gaining insight into Berber culture, traditional cuisine, and sustainable community life, before returning to Marrakech with lasting memories.
