Seville - Chefchaouen

Tarifa
We'll start early in the morning from Seville, heading south through the countryside of Andalusia toward the coast. At Tarifa, the southernmost tip of Europe, you board the fast ferry and cross the Strait of Gibraltar, an hour on the water with Spain falling away behind you and the Africa n continent rising ahead. By the time you step ashore in Tangier, you've crossed between two continents before lunch.

Tetouan
From Tangier, continue to Tetouan, a UNESCO World Heritage city known for its traditional medina and strong Andalusian influence. Walk through its narrow streets with your guide, passing local workshops where crafts such as woodwork, leather and tile making are still practised today. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing into the Rif Mountains.

Chefchaouen
By late afternoon, you'll arrive in Chefchaouen, Morocco's famous Blue City. After checking into your accommodation, explore the blue streets and quiet squares before heading up to the Spanish Mosque viewpoint for sunset over the town and surrounding mountains. Spend the evening enjoying dinner and free time in the medina before your overnight stay.

Day 2
Chefchaouen - Seville

Chefchaouen
Start the day exploring Chefchaouen while the streets are still quiet. Visit the historic Kasbah, wander through the blue alleyways and stop at Ras El Maa, the mountain spring on the edge of the medina.

Akchour
Before lunch, we will travel into Talassemtane National Park to visit Akchour. After a drive of less than 1 hour, we'll arrive in Akchour where we will follow the riverside trail to the waterfalls, passing small cafés along the way where you can relax beside the water and enjoy the mountain scenery.

Tangier
In the early afternoon, a 2 hour drive will bring us back to Tangier for the ferry back across the Strait of Gibraltar. Before taking the ferry, your guide will show you around some of the local attractions in Tangier, including some traditonal Moroccan food followed by a camel ride. An early evening ferry across the straight before arriving in Tarifa, and then we will continue by road to Seville with a drive of around 2.5 hours, bringing to an end a weekend exploring northern Morocco, the Rif Mountains and the Blue City.
