We have the privilege here in French Polynesia to swim with these beautiful mammals in their breeding grounds. While we focus on being respectful towards humpback whales in their natural habitat, your safety is also a huge priority. Our guides are qualified and experienced in practicing ethical observations in and out of the water, you will be briefed with information about the animals.
This activity does require some physical aptitude for those wanting to swim with them, some observations are much better from the boat than in the water.

Please park your vehicle in the parking lot and make your way down to the beach front. (Note: sometimes due to high sea conditions for example big SW swells, we may do the pick up in a different location which will be Papetoai Cruise Ship terminal)we will notify you before the tour.

What to expect

You will embark on a private 4 hour Whale Watching Adventure with fully qualified and experienced captain and guide. During the tour, you will be searching for Humpback whales all while your guide is giving explanations about these beautiful mammals. In French Polynesia we are very privileged to have the opportunity to swim with these marine mammals.

**** Please keep in mind that this activity requires some physical fitness as we have regulations in place to minimize the impact on the mammals. These are wild animals in their natural habitat and sometimes this requires extended search times, with your safety being our priority we are forced in certain situations to remain on the boat. More information is presented on the boat.
