    Wolong Giant Panda Nature Reserve

    Located in the beautiful mountainous area of Wolong, the Wolong Panda Base is one of the most important research and conservation centers for giant pandas in China. Surrounded by lush forests and mountain scenery, the base provides a more natural environment for giant pandas and offers visitors the opportunity to observe these fascinating animals up close. During your visit, you can see giant pandas eating, playing, climbing and relaxing in their enclosures. You will also learn about their daily life, breeding, research and conservation from your English-speaking guide. The journey from Chengdu to Wolong takes you through beautiful mountain landscapes, making the experience more than just a panda visit. It is a wonderful combination of giant pandas, nature and the scenery of Sichuan.

    Giant Panda Volunteer Experience This is a conservation-focused experience, giving you a behind-the-scenes look at daily panda care. Typical Schedule: 8:40–9:00 — Registration, change into volunteer uniform & collect gloves 9:00–10:00 — prepare bamboo 10:00–11:00 — Visit and observe the pandas 11:00–11:30 — Watch keepers feed the pandas 11:30–13:00 — Lunch break 13:00–14:00 — Watch a panda conservation documentary 14:00–15:00 — Make panda cakes & receive a volunteer certificate The schedule is approximate and may change depending on the pandas’ condition.
