Day 1
Transfer from Entebbe to Bwindi Forest

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Drive 8 hours to Bwindi Forest in Uganda. Your expected arrival is late evening at your lodge in the forest. head out for a community experience and visit the Batwa community, an indigenous group of people who lived in the forest alongside the gorillas (optional Activity).

Day 2
Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Forest

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After your early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a comprehensive briefing about the trekking experience and gorilla conservation programme. Then join a small group of a maximum of 8 people, led by a ranger guide and start a hike of 30 minutes to several hours through the impenetrable forest. Once you meet a gorilla family, spend 1 hour observing and photographing babies, juveniles, mothers, and the dominant silverback interacting with each other. Drive 2 hours to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi Boat Excursion Upon checking in at your lodge at Lake Bunyonyi, enjoy a short hike to the top of the village hill for a sunset and aerial view of Lake Bunyonyi. You will end the day with a 1-hour boat tour to the Punishment Island on Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 3
Transfer to back Entebbe and an afternoon boat excursion for Shoebill tracking

Mabamba Shoebills Watching
After your early breakfast at 6:00 AM, drive to Entebbe. You will make a stop at the Equator Line for photos and a quick lunch. Boat Excursion for Shoebill Viewing (this is an optional activity). At around 3:00 PM, you are expected to arrive at Mabamba Swamp for a 1.5-hour boat excursion in a motorized canoe to track the shoebill and other fishing birds in the swamp During the experience, you will explore the wetland channels by canoe with a local guide while tracking the elusive shoebill and spotting a variety of other bird species that inhabit this Important Bird Area. After the experience, drive to your hotel in Entebbe or directly drive to Entebbe airport for your night flight If you wish to end your safari in Kigali, from Lake Bunyonyi you will be driven back to Kigali city or Kigali Airport for your flight departure
