    The General Cemetery of Mérida is an important space in the city's history, between angels, mausoleums, and Xibalba (Mayan cemetery); we will tell you the stories mixed with a touch of legend, and with anecdotes of the most important ones in that place. Furthermore, the General Cemetery of Mérida is considered an urban fabric of high historical and heritage value where very important popular neighborhoods of the city are located, such as the Ermita de Santa Isabel, the San Sebastián neighborhood, and the former Camino Real to Campeche. Discover this space with us, the team of historians will take you to experience this space that was inaugurated in 1821. Also, in this cemetery the most transcendental politician in the history of Yucatán, Felipe Carrillo Puerto, was shot; we will see the bullets embedded in the wall. Furthermore, the architecture is Neo-Gothic, of French style, Italian with Carrara marble, some places are even dedicated to Masons and workers.
